Nicholas Orchart, a recent UCONN graduate of Art History, took part in helping to create an exhibition at the Worcester Art Museum that hopes to Illuminate early American connections to slavery. After a paid internship at MoMa, Nicholas has now accepted a temporary position of Brand Ambassador for the special exhibition, “Eckhaus Latta: Possessed,” at the Whitney Museum of American Art (on view in the Lobby Gallery from August 3 to October 8).
The exhibition situates the eponymous design duo’s practice in the larger contexts of fashion, media, gender, and surveillance culture. This is a truly exciting endeavor and I encourage anyone in or near New York to pay a visit! You can read more about “Eckhaus Latta: Possessed” below:
