Art & Art History

I’m a Vancouver, Washington based photographer whose work often explores the tension between industrial development and the environment. I earned my undergraduate degree from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University). An avid outdoorsman, I find deep inspiration in the wilderness hiking, backpacking, and witnessing nature at its most beautiful. My visual style is shaped by Dutch landscape painters and the New Topographics movement of 1975, which inspires me to evolve their legacy in documenting humanity’s shifting relationship with the land.

My work examines 21st-century political and ecological tensions, focusing on how landscapes are exploited for human gain. Through witnessing industrial imprints on fragile environments, I aim to provoke reflection and urgency. Revealing a world teetering at an ecological breaking point, where preservation becomes an act of helping things that don’t have a voice.
