Anna Schwartz’s work is centered on themes of loss and recovery. Working predominantly in painting, as well as inquiries in its expanded field, her work investigates insistent concerns and desires in dialogue with the political and personal instance. Her practice is grounded in questioning; specifically, regarding the nature of fragility and uncertainty, relational structures, residue, sensational states, and the poetic and revolutionary potential of care.
