The hair intertwined in the teeth of a brush, a toothbrush that has been long overused, a toenail stuck in a set of clippers; seemingly repulsive items that are remnants left behind an action, the traces of an existence. I am interested in the slippage between absence and presence; the fixed and the ephemeral. I work with objects to create compositions that relate to the body as they play with temporality and permanence.
