TOURS

Tours of the Art & Art History Department are available by appointment during the Fall and Spring semesters.  Prospective students will be able to visit our facilities, sit in on a class, meet the faculty or Department Head, and discuss any questions they have.

Please note: Portfolio Reviews will not be performed during tours.

OPEN HOUSE 

Open House is a time for students and parents to visit the campus, learn more about UConn and the Department of Art & Art History, and meet the faculty.  Prospective students and their families begin the day at Gampel Pavilion and then visit the Department of Art & Art History for an information session with faculty and tours of our facilities.  To learn more about the campus-wide Open House and register for it, go to www.openhouse.uconn.edu

A day for students and families to explore the School of Fine Arts in action! Morning orientation includes presentations by Admissions, Financial Aid, Career Center, the Dean and Department Heads. Students then visit Departments, visiting classes, participating in workshops, and having lunch with current students.

Art and Art History

All students admitted to the BFA program in Studio Art and the BA program in Art History for Fall 2019 will be invited to spend an afternoon and evening with us. After a welcome from the Department Head and Dean, admitted students will participate in workshops and enjoy a special dinner with faculty and current students. This is an opportunity to find out just how vibrant and creative our art community is.
