Thanks to the University's location, the graduate program attracts prominent artists and scholars from New York and New England. Visiting faculty in recent years have included Nancy Bowen, Jim Clark, Marthe Keller, Margrit Lewczuk, and Peter Waite; visiting artists and critics have included, Marina Abramowicz, Gregory Amenoff, Janine Antoni, Richard Bosman, Albert Chong, Susanna Coffey, Renee Cox, Gregory Crewdson, Thomas Crow, Alfredo Jaar, Joan Jonas, Mary Lucier, Sally Mann, Kerry James Marshall, Jeanne Silverthorne, Michelle Wallace, Nari Ward, James Welling and Terry Winters
