Transcripts and Recommendations
Because it can take weeks for an institution to issue a transcript once it has been requested, recommenders may require significant lead time to prepare letters, and applicants should order transcripts and request recommendation letters as soon as possible. The mandatory deadline for receipt of transcripts by the Graduate Admissions Office is January 15. Order one official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate level studies from every art school, college or university you have attended. Unofficial transcripts such as personal copies are not acceptable. Request three (3) letters of recommendation, one each from three individuals of your choice whom you feel can best support your application. As explained in the Graduate School application guidelines (http://www.grad.uconn.edu/apply.html) transcripts and recommendation letters should be sent directly to you. Without unsealing the envelopes in which they ar! rive, collect all transcripts and recommendation letters together, then submit them along with a hard copy of your personal statement in one package to:
